MISSION STATEMENT We are a Non-profit Organisation dedicated to the upliftment of the South African Fire Industry, by promoting the highest available international standards in line with existing South African standards and creating opportunities for existing fire companies and new entrants to prosper. We are committed to creating job opportunities with Government and Private entities by means of education and training in line with the National Development Plan. We expect our members to freely share knowledge and advice to assist in achieving the above.

The South African Fire Development Association (SAFDA) is a Non-Profit Association of all stake holders in the Fire and Allied Industries in South Africa and were established in 2014. One of its main objectives is to engage government and other statutory bodies to influence the drafting and implementation of appropriate legislation in order to create an enabling environment for all stake holders including the unemployed in the Fire industry. The main purpose of the Association is to create an enabling environment for its members. The Association seeks to present the views, perspectives and position of all stake holders in the Fire Industry in one, consolidated voice. To facilitate the creation of new previously disadvantaged entrants into the Fire Industry sector. To partner with government, to the extent possible, to capacitate the state and its agencies, enabling it to have sufficient capacity to implement its growth and upliftment programmes. To promote high standards of professionalism in the industry. To promote certified technical education and training ensuring consistent supply of skilled personnel to the industry and upholding quality standards. To conduct research in conjunction with statutory bodies to influence the policy outlook for the sector. To facilitate the entry and significant participation of our members in the public and private sector projects.
